Why You Need A Sports Massage

Sports massage therapy helps alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Massage can quickly and effectively break down minor injuries and lesions occur caused by overexertion and/or overuse. It helps prepare you for peak performance, and prevent those niggling injuries that can get in the way of your goals.

Sports massage is a valuable component in a balanced training regimen because it:

  1. Enhances pre-event preparation
  2. Reduces recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event
  3. Promotes flexibility
  4. Reduces fatigue
  5. Improves endurance
  6. Helps prevent injuries
  7. Prepares the body and mind for optimal performance
  8. Reduces heart rate and blood pressure
  9. Increases circulation and lymph flow
  10. Reduces muscle tension and pain

Sports massage every week or two is a great addition to your normal regimen. It will help keep you competitive and minimize your risk of injury.
